Working Principal of port-holes type :
The two opposite glasses fitted are not parallel to each other. By means of a suitable illuminator into which a red and green screen are fitted, so steam portion is appeared as red and water as green.
Application: water steam at very high pressure

Working Principal of reflex type :
It is a variation of transparent level gauges, however, equipped with two reflex glasses and a back illumimatorfitted with suitable colored filters.
Application: colorless, non-corrosive for glasses, water-steam up to 40 kg/cm2

1) This water level gauge is of the most excellent construction and function as the two color type gauge, especially has enjoyed great reputation for the ones installed on the boiler at the independent power generation plant or vessel.

2)Two-color water level gauge applies the principle of optical science that the reflective index of light is different when it passes through steam space and boiler water section, separating red(steam space) and green(boiler water section). The gauge is of construction that a special lamp, colored glassplate(red, green) and a condensing lens are provided in side the illuminator installed at the rear of water level gauge.
